Apostille for Degree Certificate

A degree certificate or diploma issued in Sweden often needs to be apostilled before it can be used abroad — whether for further studies, professional registration, a work permit, or recognition by a foreign employer. Universities, professional licensing bodies and immigration authorities outside Sweden typically require the document to be authenticated so they can verify that the issuing institution is legitimate and the credential is genuine. For Hague Convention countries, the apostille is the recognised form of authentication and replaces full embassy legalisation. The document must usually be notarised as a certified copy by a Swedish Notary Public before the apostille can be issued.
